Job Vacancy: QA/QC Officer
Who are we?
For almost 50 years, Spack B.V. has been a specialist in the field of organic oils. Spack B.V. produces and packages all kinds of oils from (organic) seeds and supplies both cold-pressed vegetable oil and refined vegetable oil in various packaging formats. Our products are supplied (inter)nationally to the food processing industry, wholesale, hospitality, and the retail market. We also supply by-products for animal feed.
We are looking for a QA/QC employee.
What are you going to do?
You will become part of the quality team, which consists of both QA and lab employees. For your role, this means that you will be asked to perform both QA/QC and lab tasks. It is a highly varied role where no two days will be the same.
The QA/QC activities include:
- Keeping the lab/quality handbook up-to-date
- Managing product specifications and completing customer questionnaires
- Answering customer queries
- Providing support for audits for certifications such as IFS, Skal, NOP, RSPO, GMP+ and Krav
- Carrying out internal audits
- Registering and following up on complaints with suppliers and/or customers
- Training and giving explanations to new employees
- Release of raw materials and finished products
- Carrying out hygiene rounds in the factory
- Contributing to a strong food safety culture across all levels of the company
The laboratory work includes:
- Monsters taken and registered from this
- Sample pre-treatment for analysis.
- Performing various analyses, such as fatty acid composition, FFA and POV
- Performing calibrations
- Sending samples to external laboratories
- Preparation of Certificates of Analysis (COA)
For this role, we are looking for a motivated individual with a Bachelor's degree in Food Technology and demonstrable knowledge and experience of quality and food safety systems such as BRC and IFS. It is essential that you have a very proactive attitude and a strong sense of quality, as well as meticulous adherence to all rules. You must also be able to communicate this to other departments. Good communication skills and a strong command of both Dutch and English are required. You have a drive for continuous process improvement to further support production.
This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week.
